Ph.D. Graduate Student Recruitment

Students with strong motivation for research and backgrounds in electronics, physics, materials, chemistry, mechanical engineering, or related fields are welcome to apply for Ph.D. programs at the Department of EEE, PolyU.

We offer two types of competitive scholarships:

1, the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS)
Highly Competitive

Awardees receive a full tuition fee waiver, an exceptional annual stipend of HK$337,200, an annual academic conference travel allowance of HK$14,000, and additional cash allowances (HK$40,000 for the 1st year, HK$20,000/year thereafter). Successful candidates typically possess excellent academic backgrounds from renowned universities, such as a high GPA/class ranking, with prior publication experience highly preferred for applicants holding a Master's degree.

2. PolyU Research Postgraduate Scholarship (PRPgS)

Awardees receive a fully guaranteed monthly stipend of HK$18,840 (prior to the Qualifying Examination) or HK$19,270 (post-Qualifying Examination), alongside a dedicated conference travel grant of HK$25,000.

Prospective candidates are expected to contact the PI before November for the following Fall enrollment.

Postdoctoral Fellow Recruitment
